Message from NEACE President, Steve Izzo

Fall is finally in the air after another beautiful sun filled New England summer. All is right as the Red Sox have won over 100 games for the first time in over 70 years and our organization prepares for our annual Fall Conference in Northampton Ma. This year's conference will be on Thursday, November 8th at the Hotel Northampton.

Our NEACE Executive Vice President, Warren Dews is putting together a great line up with speakers and topics you will not want to miss. Warren's theme is "Back to the Basics" his focus will be helping newspapers understand the importance of how focusing on "local" can help build revenue and strengthening your footprint. Some of the speakers and topics we are anticipating discussing are:

John Newby, Founder 360 Media Alliance "Building Loyalty in a Non-Loyal World"

Steve Edwards, Sr Commercial Manager, Cox Media Group "How to find Revenue within your Footprint"

Kevin Moran, Executive Editor, New England Newspapers, Inc. "Locally Focused Brings Dollars and increased Circ"

David Sangiorgio, Vice President of Newspapers of New England "Route the Money"

Vice President, Lori Gardner has been busy coordinating the sponsorship sales and marketing efforts. Lori will continue to ensure our valued sponsors receive the recognition and presence they so much deserve in supporting our endeavor to hold a first-class conference.

New Director Tom Carney has been updating our website so please continue to look there and our "sparklist" for conference updates, registration and sponsorship information.

On behalf of the NEACE Board of Directors, I would like to extend a sincere "Thank You" to all of our members for your continued support and participation in NEACE. It continues to be an honor to serve you as your 101st President. The NEACE team and I look forward to seeing everyone in Northampton in November.

Stephen Izzo,
NEACE President
